An Huang Chen has made a life of serving others. She is a Governing Board Member at Hillsborough School District, Growth Mentor at Veris Insights, and formerly Vice President of Pacific Hotel Management and the Executive Director of the Advisory Board Company . She serves on the Board of Stanford University Health Care, UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television, and formerly the Citizens Advisory Committee of San Mateo County Transit Authority. She graduated from Georgetown University.
A mentor to many, An has been a cherished friend and steadfast supporter of Dean Celine since their time together at UC Santa Cruz, a relationship that has only deepened through her role as a UCLA TFT Executive Board member. Her generosity has directly shaped the student experience at TFT, with gifts supporting two of Dean Celine’s signature decanal initiatives.
Through her funding of the Wellness initiative, An has helped make career readiness a meaningful part of student life at a time when securing employment has become one of the most significant stressors our students face. Her support of Crew Call has opened doors for students to connect with industry professionals through Discovery Panels, creating real pathways into the field.
An Huang Chen’s continued investment in the work of UCLA TFT is a reflection of something much larger: a lifelong commitment to the success and wellbeing of those around her.
