Design Showcase West
Attended by distinguished industry professionals and artistic directors, DSW creates a rare opportunity for designers to showcase their talents to future peers and employers.
Created by a partnership between the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television, the Art Directors Guild, IATSE Local 800, and the Costume Designers Guild, Local 892, Design Showcase West National Portfolio Review was created to establish a bridge from student life to a successful professional career in entertainment. Over the past twenty years, introductions and conversations at DSW have launched life-long collaborations and creative partnerships. With keynotes speakers that have included Guillermo del Toro, Paul Tazewell, Quentin Tarantino, Ruth E. Carter and many others, DSW has become the springboard after a graduate design education.
