UCLA Emerging Filmmakers offers students an unparalleled opportunity to gain hands-on experience and work closely with entertainment industry professionals to gain the skills they need to take their creative work to the next level.

Through immersive experiences, students learn the fundamentals of storytelling, filmmaking, and creative collaboration while working with UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television’s equipment and facilities — including production spaces, editing labs, and equipment. Each program combines practical skills with creative exploration, immersing students in the same tools and workflows used by today’s entertainment professionals.

As part of the program, students live in UCLA’s dorms, immersing themselves in campus life while enjoying the beauty of UCLA and the energy of Los Angeles—the entertainment capital of the world.
