Once accepted to UCLA Emerging program, how do I secure a space?

If admitted to the program, you will be able to reserve your space in the program by paying the non-refundable $350 registration fee. A space in the program is not reserved for you until the required non-refundable registration fee is paid. Students must abide by all payment deadlines. After the May 1 payment deadline, a full payment of all program fees including the non-refundable registration fee will be due immediately to secure a space in the program.

The $350 registration fee and the $35 application fee are non-refundable at all times, even if you drop all courses before they begin.

What is the payment deadline?

Full fees are due by 5pm PDT May 1 for all Emerging Filmmakers programs. If registering for a program after the May 1 payment deadline, the full program fee will be due at the time of enrollment.

What is the refund policy?

The non-refundable registration and application fees may NOT be refunded under any circumstances. The remaining applicable charges excluding the non-refundable registration and application fee are refundable if the program is dropped or cancelled before June 15, 2025.

Fees are 100% NON-refundable after the June 15 deadlines and students are financially liable for all fees if withdrawal occurs beyond those deadlines. It is the responsibility of each student to know and comply with UCLA Emerging Filmmakers policy and deadlines. Lack of knowledge of the UCLA Emerging Filmmakers refund policy and deadlines is not justification for a refund.
