Sara Sternheimer
M.F.A Student, Producers Program
Sara Sternheimer (she/her) is an emerging creative producer originally from Paris, France, and now rooted in Los Angeles. Currently pursuing her MFA in UCLA’s exclusive Producers Program, she is interested in female oriented provocative stories with a spoonful of female love and a sprinkle of supernatural as metaphors of femininity. A self-proclaimed witch, Sara is reclaiming her power through stories that confront societal misogyny, while also, let’s face it, finding ever more creative excuses to expand her crystal collection. While pursuing a bachelor in film to graduate summa cum laude at Sorbonne Nouvelle University, France’s oldest film school, she holds a production desk for Wes Anderson who will eventually recommend for her admission into UCLA. During this time, she co-founds the production company Dorfmann & Sternheimer with her business partner and photographer Anthony Dorfmann, producing campaigns for brands like Louis XIII Cognac, Uniqlo, Rare Champagne, or Starmania Musical Show. Simultaneously, she builds a strong presence on social media, amassing 400,000 followers and over 150 million views across TikTok and Instagram, and partnering with major brands including Samsung and Ubisoft. Since moving out to Los Angeles, Sara has worked alongside Roman Coppola at The Director’s Bureau and taken on a variety of freelance roles, including working in production design on music videos to serving as a casting director for various vertical series. Off set, you might find her slipping beneath LA’s neon hush, scribbling down a few secret incantations to the moon. Or, you know, at a rave. She likes techno.
