Jade Johann

M.F.A Student, Screenwriting

Jade Johann (she/her) is a writer from Kansas City, Missouri. In 2023, she graduated from Missouri State University where she majored in video studies and worked as a marketing videographer for the college. Jade is currently pursuing a master’s degree in feature screenwriting. She is interested in exploring complex character relationships, often through coming-of-age or romance stories. In 2024, Jade was a writer on the up-and-coming all-women-produced comedy web series Bernadette the Brave. Jade has previously received recognition for her script Wheelz, which was a semifinalist at the Austin Film Festival and the winner of the Missouri Broadcast Educators Association’s narrative feature contest in 2022.
