Doug Cummings
Ph.D. student, Cinema Media Studies
Doug Cummings’ research is focused on the connections between historic cinephilia and public engagement/education in the digital age. He teaches world cinema and American film history courses at Chaffey College, serving communities in East Los Angeles. Prior to grad school, he worked as a film critic for L.A. Weekly, a festival programmer for American Film Institute and web editor for the UCLA Film & Television Archive. He also co-founded the UK DVD label Masters of Cinema.
