
Cory Alexander Bishop
M.F.A. Student, Producers Program
Cory Bishop is a producer with nine years of credits in television, and film. He grew up in the DC metropolitan area. He attended Hampton University, where he received a B.A. in Business Management.
Upon graduation, he moved to New York after being awarded a fellowship with AlJazeera America. After completing his fellowship, he was brought on to the network’s show Ali Velshi on Target, where he worked as the show’s Graphics Producer. Following that, he joined the TBS show Full Frontal with Samantha Bee. He worked as a graphics coordinator for the first two seasons and was later promoted to Post Associate Producer and then Associate Producer until the show’s end.
During his time at Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, he contributed to several other projects. He was an Associate Producer for the pilot of the BET show The Rundown with Robin Thede, a Deko Producer for the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards, and an Associate Producer for the pilot of Seasoned, a Showtime production currently in development.
After Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, Cory worked as an Associate Producer on Apple TV’s The Problem with Jon Stewart. He remained a member of the show’s staff
until its end in 2023. Most recently, Cory served as a Production Coordinator for the independent film Bird in Hand, produced by Park Pictures.
Cory currently resides in Los Angeles, California, where he’s attaining a Masters in Fine Arts through UCLA’s Producers Program.
