Jennifer Chang is a director, actor and writer. Her playwriting debut The Devil Is a Lie directed by Kyle Haden, premiered with Quantum Theatre staged at the historic landmark Frick Building of Pittsburgh (Best of Pittsburgh, OnStage). She received the Beatrice Terry Residency at The Drama League in New York City for her play Matter and was a member of The 23-24 Geffen Playhouse Writers Room, writing the book for the musical BEER! with composer/ lyricist Inara George which was semi-finalists for the O’Neill National Musical Theatre Conference along with their previous musical Dear Margaret Sanger.

Education: BFA in Drama and Psychology from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts (ETW and Playwrights Horizons); MFA in acting from UCSD/ La Jolla Playhouse. She was previously acting faculty at UCSD and a visiting professor at Pomona College.
