Lecturer
Thy Than co-created an upcoming PBS KIDS series and serves as its Executive Producer and Supervising Director. Previously, she has worked on studio and independent projects in various roles from storyboard artist and designer to directing and producing.
As a filmmaker, her independent animated short films have screened and been honored in multiple film festivals and exhibitions, including Chicago International Children’s Film Festival, Brooklyn International Film Festival’s kidsfilmfest, Ojai Film Festival, Australia’s Little Big Shots Film Festival, Mumbai’s WorldKids International Film Festival and the Walt Disney Family Museum.
Thy received her BS in Communications from Boston University, and her MFA in Film, Television and Digital Media from UCLA, where she was awarded the prestigious Fred Rogers Memorial Scholarship. She is a member of the Television Academy and ASIFA.
