Student Wellness

The TFT Wellness Initiative supports your well-being in every aspect of student life. From stress management to career confidence, our programs are designed to help you thrive both inside and outside the classroom. Whether you’re looking for practical guidance, a supportive conversation, or ways to build connections within the TFT community, our wellness offerings ensure you don’t have to navigate challenges alone.

The TFT Wellness Initiative provides events and support services for students’ holistic well-being, covering academics, finances, and mental and physical health. Our programming includes workshops on mindfulness, self-care, professional skills, and community development. Find the latest updates for Wellness events by visiting the TFT Wellness Calendar.

Student Wellness Coordinator Sam O’Harra facilitates this initiative, advocating for students and connecting them to campus resources. Sam offers group and individual consultations to TFT students. Please note that while our Student Wellness Coordinator is ready to listen to student voices and happy to provide support in a non-clinical capacity, they are not a licensed therapist and defer to UCLA Counseling and Psychological Services experts for health interventions. For more information or to request support, visit 103 East Melnitz in Student Services or click this TFT Wellness Consultation link.

If you are in crisis, call the 24/7 Counseling and Psychological Services hotline (310) 825-0768. Cases that present an immediate threat to self, others, or property are considered an emergency and you should call 911. If you are off-campus and dial 911, you will be connected to the nearest law enforcement agency. If you wish to contact the UC Police Department for a non-emergency, dial the main business line (310) 825-1491.
