Parking and Directions
Visitor Parking Information
- Visitor parking is located in North Parking Structure 3.
- Look for the large sign that reads “VISITOR PARKING” at the entrance.
- Parking is available on levels 1, 2, and 3. Do not park on higher levels or in South Structure 3, as those areas are for Bruin ePermit holders.
- Only park in spaces marked with a green circle and a white “P”.
- If your vehicle does not have visible license plates, enter the last 6 digits of the VIN into the pay station and display the permit on the driver’s side dash.
Theater Locations
James Bridges Theater
- Location: Located on the ground floor of Melnitz Hall (directly after entering through the glass doors).
- Directions from Visitor Parking (Structure 3 North):
- After parking, follow the instructions above to reach Melnitz Hall via the tunnel.
- Once you exit the tunnel, Melnitz Hall will be on your left.
- The James Bridges Theater is on the right side of the lobby, just after you enter through the glass doors.
Darren Star Theater
- Location: Also located in Melnitz Hall, just to the left of the main entrance.
- Directions from Visitor Parking (Structure 3 North):
- After parking and walking through the tunnel to Melnitz Hall, the Darren Star Theater is on the left after entering through the glass doors across from the Bridges Theater.
Freud Playhouse
- Location: Located in the Macgowan Courtyard facing the Sculpture Garden.
- Directions from Visitor Parking (Structure 3 North):
- After parking and walking through the tunnel past Melnitz Hall, take a left on the walking path past the first breezeway until you reach a courtyard on your left. After entering the courtyard, the Freud Playhouse lobby is on your right.
1. Entering the Parking Structure:
- The North Parking Structure is located in North Campus, just south of the Sunset Blvd. & Hilgard Ave. intersection.
- Enter from Sunset Blvd/Hilgard and take an immediate right turn into the parking structure.
- Once inside, turn right and look for parking spaces marked with a green circle and a white “P”.
2. Getting Your Parking Permit:
- After entering the structure, turn right to find the nearest pay station machine directly in front of you.
- Pay stations are located on each level.
- Follow the instructions on the machine to obtain your courtesy parking permit. You’ll need to enter your license plate number using the number pad.
- Retain the permit as your receipt.
3. Proceed to the Theater:
- After paying, go to the ground floor of the parking structure.
- On the ground floor, look for a tunnel labeled “Theater and Gallery”. Follow the signs and walk through the tunnel.
- Once you exit the tunnel, Melnitz Hall will be on your left.
- Enter the building through the glass doors into the lobby.
- To your left is the Darren Star Theater.
- To your right is the James Bridges Theater.
