Join UCLA’s School of Theater, Film and Television (TFT) and the Documentary Film Legal Clinic in UCLA’s School of Law this fall as we convene a powerhouse group of filmmakers, scholars, alumni, students, attorneys and cultural leaders to examine the enduring impact of the L.A. Rebellion — and highlight its ongoing relevance to the future of socially engaged filmmaking.
Summit programming will feature film screenings, scholarly presentations, Q&A sessions with directors and more. Featured speakers at the event include UCLA Distinguished Professor of Law and Promise Institute Chair in Human Rights, Kristy Guevara Flanagan, UCLA TFT Professor and Area Head of Documentary, Juan Pablo Gonzalez, UCLA TFT Professor and Vice Chair of Production, and Ellen Scott, UCLA TFT Associate Professor and Special Advisor to the Dean on the L.A. Rebellion.
