Asher de Forest’s plays have been recognized by Global Playwright Series (2022 semifinalist), Epiphanies New Works Festival (2024 shortlist), National Playwrights Conference (2024 semifinalist), the Stage Spirit: Dini Ostrov Award in Playwriting (2026 recipient), and the George Burns and Gracie Allen Scholarship and Fellowship in Comedy (2026 recipient). His work has been fully produced at Macalester and Theatre Du Mississippi and performed in staged readings by Melancholics Anonymous, Live Arts, and UCLA, among others. He was a 2023-2024 Playwrights’ Center apprentice. Asher is currently pursuing an MFA in Playwriting at UCLA. BA: Macalester College.
