Diego Rivera: His Story | 2026

5:30 pm
Macgowan 1340
Free

Associate Prof. David G. García and the Dept. of Theater invite you to Herbert Siguenza’s one man show, Diego Rivera: His Story. Set in the aftermath of the funeral of his iconic wife, Frida Kahlo, Rivera returns to his studio, grappling with grief, confusion, and a looming sense of mortality. In his solitude, Rivera is visited by Cantinflas, a charismatic figure embodying Mexican consciousness and the common man. Join us for an intimate look at one of Mexico’s most influential visual artists of the 20th century, brought to life by the acclaimed veteran actor and playwright Herbert Sigüenza of the nation’s premier Chicano-Latino theater group Culture Clash.

Brought to you as a collaboration between UCLA’s School of Education & Information Studies and Theater, Film and Television

Doors open at 5:00 p.m.
