About the film: Inspired by a true story, Homebound follows the journey of two friends — one Dalit and the other Muslim — across a country that often refuses to see them. From chasing a police job to working as migrant laborers in a textile mill, to enduring the cruelties of a pandemic, their quest for dignity tests the strength of their friendship. Homebound is a cry for empathy, a reminder that home is not merely a place, but a feeling we carry within ourselves, and build between one another.
