UCLA TFT graduate Molly Mielke earned a spot on the 2025 Forbes 30 Under 30 list for her groundbreaking work in venture capital.

An alum of the Department of Film, Television and Digital Media, Mielke defied expectations by launching Moth Fund, where she is the sole general partner. Moth Fund is an early-stage-focused venture capital firm that aims to increase the agency of exceptional individuals. Despite having no formal investment track record, she successfully raised $6 million and now backs early-stage startups, providing checks of up to $250,000 to companies like Infinite Machine (electric scooters) and Armstrong (robotic dishwashers). Mielke plans to expand her impact, stating, “The right LPs understand VCs should be weird, and they should stand out.”
