Yun-Pu Yang

PhD Candidate

Yun-Pu Yang (she/her) is a PhD Candidate in Theater and Performance Studies at UCLA. She is working on her dissertation titled “The Eroticism of Peking Opera Kunsheng in China, 1870–1970.” She holds the distinction of being a CUTF fellow and has received the dissertation fellowship from the Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation for the 2022-2023 academic year and from the National Science and Technology Council in Taiwan for the 2023-2024 academic year. In the winter of 2024, Yun-Pu taught her own undergraduate seminar, titled “Thinking Gender: Data, Storytelling, Gender Performance,” as part of the Cluster Program at UCLA.
