In Memoriam: Pamela Beere Briggs

Award-winning documentary filmmaker Pamela Beere Briggs (BA '80, MFA ’90), wife of TFT Professor William McDonald, died on April 6, from breast cancer. Born in Japan to American expats who relocated to California when she was 10, the experience of feeling like a stranger in her own land had a profound influence on Pamela as a storyteller, with many of her projects exploring the idea of belonging. She is also survived by her daughter Natalie.
