Shirley Davis

Shirly DavisShirley Davis is a seasoned film and television production executive and producer who teaches "Physical Production for the Creative Producer."

In 2019, she launched the production company Rose Colored Pictures with her producing partner Sara Spring. Davis was previously a consultant at Imagine Entertainment where she worked closely with Imagine Television in the set-up of their production department. She also was a co-producer on the first season of Wu-Tang: An American Saga.

Earlier, Davis was the executive vice president and head of physical production at Alcon Entertainment, where she was a production executive on Blade Runner: 2049, Point Break (2015), Prisoners, and Dolphin Tale and its sequel. Additionally, she was co-executive producer for several digital projects for Mark Burnett Productions, MTV Networks, AOL and Yahoo, where she had an inside view of tech first meeting entertainment.

In addition to UCLA TFT, Davis has taught in the Peter Stark Program at USC Cinematic Arts. She is a member of the Producers Guild of America, the Directors Guild of America, and an Outfest board member.

Davis received her B.A. in English from the University at Albany.
