Sarah Watson


Sarah WatsonSarah Watson is a television writer, producer and novelist. She is the creator of the Freeform series The Bold Type, which The New York Times described as “Sex and the Single Girl for Millennials.” Previously she was a writer and executive producer of the critically acclaimed NBC drama Parenthood. She has also written for About a Boy, Lipstick Jungle, The Unusuals and The Middleman, among others. She has sold pilots to ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox and her writing has appeared on Buzzfeed. Her debut novel, Most Likely, will be published by Poppy/Little Brown in 2020 as part of a two-book deal.

Watson’s work has been positively reviewed in The New Yorker, The New York Times and Vanity Fair, among others, and listed as a part of Entertainment Weekly’s “50 Best TV Scenes of the Past Year.”

A Northern California native, Watson studied English and American Literature at UCLA before beginning her career in television.
