Zander Lehmann
Lecturer
Zander Lehmann is a writer, director and producer. While working as a development assistant, he sold Game Show, a spec pilot, to HBO with David Fincher producing. Then, while serving as a staff writer on the MTV show The Shannara Chronicles, he sold the spec pilot Casual to Hulu, with Jason Reitman directing and producing. He served as head writer and showrunner of Casual for the series’ four-year run, earning a Golden Globe nomination for Best Comedy Series. Named one of Variety’s 10 TV Writers to Watch in 2016, he has since sold book adaptations to Hulu, Liongate and BBC Studios, and is currently writing an untitled film for Focus Features.
Originally from Santa Monica, Calif., Lehmann attended Washington University in St. Louis where he earned a B.A. in psychology. He teaches the workshop class "Writing the Half-Hour Dramedy Series" in the Department of Film, Television and Digital Media.
