Michael Puopolo
VISITING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
Michael Puopolo teaches the Business of Television and Advanced Television Technology. He specializes in TV research, strategy, programming, scheduling, marketing, publicity, promotions, branding, business development, advance television technologies and worldwide television markets.
Puopolo has spent his entire career working in the media and entertainment industry. He currently is the senior vp of international television research for Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution where he has worldwide responsibility for more than 175 countries, monitoring all forms of television including free, pay, premium, OTT and VOD. Prior to Fox, he served for 17 years as vp, research for Warner Bros. International Television. While there, he had the privilege of working extensively in Warner Bros. field offices in Miami and London, directly servicing TV clients in the Caribbean, Central and South America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Prior to Warner Bros., Puopolo worked at the Walt Disney Studios (Buena Vista Pictures Marketing), Nielsen Media Research, Universal Television and was a consultant for DreamWorks Television.
He holds a bachelors degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and received his M.B.A. in international business from the University of Miami.
