David A. Leveton

David Leveton was admitted to the California State Bar in January 1963 and has continuously practiced in Los Angeles. He was also admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States in February 1971. He has served as a Judge Pro Tem in the Beverly Hills Municipal Court, and the Los Angeles Municipal Court and was a registered Arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association.

Leveton’s practice deals primarily with corporate clientele involving domestic and multinational corporate matters and personal injury litigation. He was Local General Counsel for Varig Brazilian Airlines (1973 to 2007), U.S. General Counsel for Garuda Indonesia Airlines (1997 to 2004) and General Counsel for Avianca Airlines (2007 to 2009). He is General Counsel for Los Angeles West Terminal Fuel Corporation (LAWTFC), Airline Fuel Consortium, comprised of 32 International Air Carriers at LAX (1992 to present), General Counsel for LAX Shared Use Lounge Company, LLC (LAXSUL) Airline Lounge Consortium, comprised of nine International Air Carriers at LAX (2005 to present). Additional airline representation has included Continental Airlines, Ecuatoriana Airlines, Lineas Aereas Paraguayas (Air Paraguay), TAME Airlines and the Ecuadorian Air Force.

He was a member of the Board of Transportation Commissioners of the City of Los Angeles from January 1990-September 1993 and was elected President of the Board of Transportation Commissioners of the City of Los Angeles for the period July 1992 to September 1993. Leveton is currently Director of the Ann C. Rosenfield Fund at the UCLA Foundation and a past member of the UCLA Foundation Board of Governors (1998-2001). He sits on the Board of Directors of UCLA’s Jonsson Cancer Center Foundation and The Center for the Art of Performance (CAP) @ UCLA. He was also a member of the Advisory Committee of the UCLA Center for Community Partnerships, the Selection Committee for the UCLA in LA Awards Program, and is a “Founding Member” of STOP CANCER.

Leveton has a B.A. in political science from UCLA and J.D. from UCLA School of Law.
