TFT Open House

Congratulations and welcome to the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television (TFT). We encourage you to find out more about our department and about the UCLA campus with two events being held on April 13 and 14, 2018.

We invite you to join us for our annual School of Theater, Film and Television Freshman Open House which will be held on Friday, April 13 from 8:30 a.m. to approximately 5:00 p.m. The TFT Open House will provide you with the most comprehensive information about life as a theater or film and television undergraduate at UCLA. The activities at this open house include meeting with faculty, staff and students, learning about all the department’s specializations and curriculum, and taking a tour of the stages and facilities. We hope that you can join us. With your offer of acceptance, you should have received a link to sign up for this event soon but feel free to contact if you have questions.

As you are making plans to attend our Open House, we hope you'll make it a complete UCLA Weekend by also coming on April 14 for Bruin Day, when the entire campus will be open for admitted applicants and their guests. At Bruin Day, you will get to meet current students and future Bruins like yourself, explore the Westwood campus and its 419 wooded acres, take a campus tour, attend a student resource fair to hear about some 1,200 campus clubs and organizations, and get a personal feel for the extraordinary undergraduate programs, and biggest selection of events, arts recreation and happenings at UCLA.

Also, on Bruin Day, you will have the opportunity to ask questions about financial aid at UCLA and tour the residence halls (dormitories). Go to for more information and to RSVP.

Please RSVP to the TFT Open House by April 4 by visiting the admissions decision website at and clicking on If you are unable to attend our Open House and wish to meet with us - please email us at and indicate the date/time you can visit our campus.

We encourage you to join us on both of these days. We look forward to meeting you. Come discover why UCLA is your best choice for a bright future.

Your Future Is Bruin.

On April 22, 2013, UCLA became completely tobacco-free, with the use of cigarettes and all tobacco products no longer permitted on the main campus or other UCLA properties, as required by a UC plan requiring all 10 campuses to go tobacco-free. Tobacco use is the leading cause of preventable disease and death in the United States and UCLA is proud to join the hundreds of universities already making tobacco-free the new normal nationwide.
