The application process for the 2010-11 academic year begins November 1, 2009
Submit your University of California Application for Undergraduate Admission online. Apply online to the University of California starting November 1 through November 30, 2009. Once you have submitted your application, you will receive an an application ID number. Keep track of this number, as you will need it to sign up for your interview/audition appointment!
Schedule your interview/audition appointment with the Theater Department. Visit the Interview/Audition Tour web site after January 4, 2010, to schedule your required interview/audition appointment with the Theater Department. Make sure you have your UC application ID number, as you will need to enter it to schedule your appointment.
Submit the required supplemental materials before the deadline. Complete and submit the required supplemental materials.
Please note that an interview is required of all applicants. Acting and Musical Theater applicants are required to audition AND interview. Be sure to review Audition/Interview Requirements by visiting the Audition Tour page and clicking on the Acting or Musical Theater Audition Requirements link.
An information session for applicants and their parents or guardians will be held during your scheduled audition time, which will include a discussion of the requirements for the major. You do not need to schedule additional time for this. Please allow 4 hours for your interview/audition process. Applicants are advised that acting/musical theater auditions may require strenuous physical activities with inherent risks of bodily injury. By participating in auditions, students assume all risks of such activities and understand that UCLA shall not be responsible for any resulting injuries students may receive.
