Veteran cable TV personality Alison Chace ’91 is branching out, becoming co-producer and co-host of the talk show “Morning, Noon and Night.”
The show is based in Sag Harbor, New York, and is featured on the group of national Cablevison outlets known as Plum TV.
Because the show’s setting is a resort area popular with entertainment industry figures, Chace regularly snags guests with national appeal. “We have a whole series of shows with people in the film business,” Chace told “Newsday,” “about what the Hamptons mean to that person. ‘Where do you get your coffee? Where do you do your yoga?’ … Letting us get to know them in their relationship with the Hamptons.”
Chace, 40, who splits her time between Manhattan and either Quogue (in winter) or Southampton (in peak season), said “Morning, Noon and Night” will be “less like a talk show than a gathering,” mixing celebrities and performers with regular folks. Among the guests for the debut weekend are Jonathan Brooke, a folk-rock musician, and clothing designer Lisa Perry.“For example, Lisa Perry will be showing ‘the five perfect pairs of white pants,’ all shopped from Hamptons’ stores,” Chace said.
The show will also include a weekly surf report from Flying Point Surf School and a weekly fishing report from Jack Yee, a fisherman from Montauk, Chace said. And it will give advice on kid-friendly family outings and insider tips.
