Alumnus Schumacher wins Artios Award

Casting directors salute Disney theatrical prez
“Variety” reports that alumnus Thomas Schumacher ’80, president of the Disney Theatrical Group, will be honored in November by the Casting Society of America.
[The Society’s Artios Awards honor] individuals whose collaborations with casting directors have furthered the biz in Gotham. Schumacher, who joined the Mouse House in 1988, has produced such Broadway hits as “The Lion King,” “Aida” and “High School Musical.”
The gala will be held simultaneously on Nov. 10 at Carolines in Gotham and at the Century Plaza in L.A
