Geffen Playhouse opens new "Beethoven"

The Geffen Playhouse just opened Beethoven, As I Knew Him, the final act of a musical “Composer Sonata” trilogy by Hershey Felder. The play, directed by Joel Zwick, runs until September 28th. Tickets are available through GeffenPlayhouse.com or call the box office at 310-208-5454.

Gilbert Cates, currently presiding as the Producing Director of the Geffen Playhouse, previously served as Dean of the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television (which he founded) from 1990-1998.

Francois-Pierre Couture MFA ’06 is the scenic designer and graphic artist for Beethoven.

The UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television’s Scene, Prop, Sound and Costume Shops are given special thanks.

Dan Ionazzi is also on staff as the Production Manager of the Geffen.

The Geffen Playhouse, a non-profit theater company proudly, is affiliated with the University of California at Los Angeles, specifically the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television.
