Screewriting alum put words in Indiana Jones' mouth

Alumnus David Koepp ’90 has been instrumental in helping George Lucas and Steven Spielberg bring their iconic hero Indiana Jones back to the big screen for the fourth time—instrumental as only an A-list screenwriter can be, the kind who regularly turns out scripts that convince Hollywood studios to pony up.

Koepp launched his career with edgy genre scripts such as “Apartment Zero” (1989) and “Bad Influence” (1990), quickly ascending to a higher plane working on projects for Spielberg (“Jurassic Park,” “War of the Worlds”), Brian De Palma (“Carlito’s Way,” Mission Impossible, “Snake Eyes”) and Sam Raimi (“Spider-Man”).

David Koepp received the Distinguished Achievement in Screenwriting Award during the School’s Festival of New Creative Work in 2004.
