The Princess Grace Foundation-USA honored the recipients of its 2008 awards and grants at a ceremony in New York City on October 15. Named in honor of the late Princess Grace of Monaco, the prizes assist emerging artists with their training.
Among the 2008 Princess Grace Award theatre artists honored was director and performance artist Patrick Kennelly, an MFA directing candidate at the School, who received a scholarship.
Alumna Sheila Callaghan MFA ’97, a playwright who has been widely produced and published in the U.S. and abroad, received a Princess Grace Works in Progress Award.
Stage and screen star Glenn Close received the 2008 Prince Rainier III Award.
