Mariska Hargitay, ’87 has received her first Emmy nomination for her work on “Law and Order: SVU.”
Professor Becky Smith earned her first Emmy nomination for directing an episode of “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.”
Alum Gregory Nava, B.A. ’71, MFA, ’76, got a nod for producing “American Family” for PBS.
Louis J. Horvitz, ’68 received his ninth Emmy nomination for directing last year’s Academy Award broadcast.
Naomi S. Boak earned a nod for directing the documentary “The Forgetting: A Portrait of Alzheimer’s.”
Additionally, TFT alums were involved in many multiple-nominated programs, including “Alias,” “The Simpsons,” “Malcolm in the Middle” and “Sex and the City.”
The Emmy’s will be broadcast on ABC on September 19. Congratulations to the nominees.
