The UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television offer congratulations to all of the alumni and faculty who were nominated for Emmy Awards.
Among those nominated are:
-Alumnus Darren Star’s “Sex and the City” was honored with 13 nominations. Star has already won an Emmy and this will be his fourth nomination for the series.
-Alumnus Dan Angel’s critically acclaimed “Door to Door” earned the most nominations for a longform program with 12.
—Founding Dean and TFT Professor Gil Cates was honored with a nomination for producing the 74th Academy Award presentation, and alumnus Louis J. Horvitz picked another nod for directing the telecast. This is Horvitz’s 6th nod for directing the Oscars and his 9th overall. He’s won three. Gil Cates has won the Emmy once and this will be his 10th nomination.
