Now in its sixth year the UCLA Producers Program’s annual student pitch competition Producers Marketplace has established itself as an institution. The event originated back in 2002 when a group of enterprising Producers Program students wanted a chance to present their projects to an outside audience. Since then it has grown in both scope and reach and become an integral part of the annual Festival of New Creative Work that the School of Theater, Film and Television puts on at the end of the academic year.

This year Producers Marketplace will be held on Thursday, June 14 at the Freud Playhouse on the UCLA campus. Four MFA students from the graduating class will pitch their thesis projects to a panel of studio heads and major motion picture producers in front of a general audience.

The UCLA School of Theater, Film & Television and the Producers Guild of America will also present the "Vision Award" to distinguished producers Albert Berger and Ron Yerxa for their accomplishments in producing. The award will be presented by PGA President Marshall Herskovitz.
