Neil Landau ’85 has film credits that include “Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead” (slated for remake by Dreamworks in 2012) and the forthcoming 3D animated feature “Tad Jones” (from El Toro Pictures/Warner Bros., 2012). Neil is also Executive Producing “The Last Days of Superman” for Goldmann Pictures and Menshikov Films (2011/2012).
Current TV development includes a one-hour TV drama series for Mike Tollin Productions and Freemantle North America. His past TV credits include “Melrose Place,” “The Magnificent Seven,” “Doogie Howser, M.D.,” “The Secret World of Alex Mack,” “Twice in a Lifetime,” and MTV’s “Undressed,” plus TV pilots for CBS, ABC, Warner Bros., and Lifetime.
As an Executive Script Consultant, Neil worked for Sony Pictures (2005-2007), and most recently for El Toro Pictures and Ikiru Films on “Lope” (Warner Bros., 2010) and “Bruc” (Universal, 2010). He served as Vice-President of Scripted Development for Amedia Film Group in Moscow, Russia (2007-08).
Neil is the co-author of the bestselling book “101 Things I Learned in Film School (2010, Grand Central Publishing) and is working on a new book, “The Screenwriter’s Roadmap” (for Focal Press).
Neil teaches workshops and lectures around the world, including this summer in Chile, Italy, and Russia.
