Biography
Playwright, Director and Historian. Award winning author of plays including Medea: A Noh Cycle Based on the Greek Myth, and Blood Wine, Blood Wedding (kabuki-flamenco fusion). Translator of avant-garde Japanese playwright Terayama Shûji. Articles in publications such as Asian Theater Journal, TDR, Theater Journal, Modern Drama, Contemporary Theater Review, and Microsoft Encarta Encyclopedia. She is the editor of the Association for Asian Performance Newsletter. Current projects include three books on aspects of Japanese and/or world theater history and culture.
