At UCLA the study of theater, film, television and digital media is integrated within a single professional school.

Theater

Comprehensive training for the profession as well as study of theater's 2,500-year history and literature. Students engage in the presentation of dramatic work in a community where creativity and critical thought combine in the exploration of the artistic and intellectual challenges inherent in the making of theater.

Department of Theater - Production History

Film, Television
and Digital Media

Study in the history and theory as well as the creative and technical aspects of the moving image. The department provides a scholarly, creative, and professional approach to the study of these media and seeks to help each student discover his or her powers as an independent artist and communicator.
