Kate Isenberg

Kate IsenbergComics artist, animator, writer and songwriter Kate Isenberg teaches Computer Animation in Film and Video (FTV 489A).

Isenberg’s essays and illustrations have appeared in magazines such as The New Republic, Mother Jones and Acoustic Guitar. Her animated short film Dear Death (2016) won a Matt Groening Animation Production Fellowship and a fellowship from the National Association of Theatre Owners of California/Nevada. Dear Death, based on her longtime comic strip Stewball, has screened at film festivals around the world, winning recognition for storytelling, visual design and animation. She is currently at work on a graphic novel about Stewball.

Isenberg received a B.A. in English from Harvard University and an M.F.A. in animation from the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television.
