Program Manager, Skoll Center for Social Impact Entertainment
Marissa Moran is honored to be part of the inaugural team at the Skoll Center for Social Impact Entertainment, where she leads operational needs and manages the rollout of the Center’s programs and activities. Having dedicated her career to the intersection of media and social change, she brings a dynamic background in international development, strategic communications and nonprofit management.
Before joining the Skoll Center, Moran was a communications manager at Hershey Cause Communications, where she worked with a range of nonprofits and foundations to design and implement their communications and marketing strategies to advance their missions. Before moving to Los Angeles, she worked for Albany Associates, a strategic communications firm based in London that specializes in navigating communications in conflict and post-conflict zones. At Albany, she served clients including the UN, DFID, USAID and OSCE.
Moran holds a master’s degree in media, communication and development from the London School of Economics and a bachelor’s degree in political communication from George Washington University, graduating summa cum laude and phi beta kappa. She is an alumna of the national AmeriCorps direct service program.
