Rich Rose
TFT Professor and Associate Dean Rich Rose is a Scenic Designer with a special interest in the applications of Computer-Aided Drafting to entertainment production. He is the author of the books "Drafting Scenery for Theater, Film and Television", "AutoCAD Onstage: A Computer-Aided Design Handbook for Theater, Film and Television" and "Drawing Scenery for Theater, Film and Television."
For many years Rich was the resident designer at the Back Alley Theater in Los Angeles where he received many awards for his scenic design. His most recent credits include a gala memorial tribute night for film producer Jake Eberts ("Gandhi," "Dances with Wolves") and the set for "Lainie Kazan Presents the Great American Songbook." He is currently consulting with the Los Angeles County Arts Commission on the multi-million dollar renovation of the historic John Anson Ford Theater, as well as designing the scenery for "Spring Awakening" at The La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts.
