Catherine Telford

About Catherine TelfordCatherine Telford received her MFA in Acting from The American Conservatory Theater, renowned for its classical theater training. She also attended The Drama Studio of London.

Her teaching experience includes Acting for the Camera classes at UCLA and acting classes in West Virginia University’s MFA and BFA Acting Programs as well as Santa Ana College Theater Department. She has directed productions of "Stage Door," "Waiting for the Parade," "A Christmas Carol," "Our Town" and "Shakespeare’s Women."

A founding member of Pacific Resident Theater (PRT) and one of the three original Board Directors of the Company, she counts PRT as one of three successful collaborative efforts at creating theater companies. The others are Seattle’s Showcase Theatre and West Virginia’s Monongalia Arts Center Theatre.

PRT productions that she produced and performed in are "Children," "The Importance of Being Earnest," "The Hot L Baltimore," "South Central Rain," "Voices in the Woods" and "Table Manners." Additionally, with PRT, she performed in "Thanksgiving," "Squirrels," "Piccolo Pete," "The Three Sisters" and "There’s One in Every Marriage."

Her Shakespearean performances with Berkeley Shakespeare Festival, San Francisco Shakespeare Company, The Western Stage and others include the roles of Beatrice, Olivia, Regan, Emilia, Queen Elizabeth, Calphurnia, Rosalind and the Nurse in "Romeo and Juliet."

In the Los Angeles area she performed at the Fremont Theatre in Holiday Memories and the Zephyr Theatre in Horton Foote’s "Laura Dennis." Regionally, she acted for two seasons with the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts. She has enjoyed a long and prosperous career in television commercials as well. Catherine is happily married to Joe Olivieri and they are the proud parents of Luca and Tessa Olivieri.
